Training Your Whippet In Agility

From time to time I get an email asking how to start a whippet in agility. I always answer the best I can, but I thought “Wouldn’t it be great if they could get an answer not just from me, but from several different trainers”? So I asked a few friends to help me out and they wrote down what they think are the most important things a newbie should know and whether they think that training a whippet is different than training other (non-sighthound) breeds. Winter Break

Hey guys, how are you doing? It’s been a tough month for me as my health took a D-tour. It was pretty crazy, I didn’t have a lot of energy left for walking dogs and no energy for training, so we didn’t do much of the winter cross training that I was planning hoping to do. Luckily my health seems to be getting better (albeit slowly), so hopefully it won’t be too long before we can return to our regular program.
